Adult family member, allies, and professionals are invited to attend this free one day symposium on music therapy and autism.  Local and international music therapists and researchers will share perspectives on how music therapy plays a role in the lives of individuals with autism.   Key speakers will include Dr. Pamela Heaton, PhD from Goldsmiths College, University of London; Dr. Catherine Wan, PhD from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School; and Dr. Krystal Demaine, PhD, MT-BC from Lesley University.   The day will include lunch, roundtable discussions, and a concert by the Boston Higashi School Jazz Band.  The New England Chapter of Autism Speaks and the Music Therapy Department at Berklee College of Music sponsor this free event.
