Neurosciences and Music IV

I recently returned from Neurosciences and Music IV in Edinburgh, UK. Here I presented a poster "Musical Echolalia: Musical Imitation and children with Autism Spectrum Disorders". This conference took place June 9 - 12, 2011. There were 240 poster presenters that filled three evenings, and several symposiums that spanned four days.

This is the fourth conference of it's kind to ever occur. I previously attended Neurosciences and Music III in Montreal, Canada in the summer of 2008. I found that conference to be life changing, as was this one in the UK. The most notable speakers in the field of Neuroscience and Music typically come out for this conference, making it an event that is unfortunate to miss. The conference occurs only once every three years. I think that presenters and attendees alike feel filled with inspiration and inquiry that will last until the next conference.
